Our Mission Statement
"To provide children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities opportunities to dance regardless of abilities or financial situation."
Formed in 1992, the Miracle Dancers started with 3 students and have grown to nearly 50 dancers. They have touched the heart of all those who have had the pleasure of watching them dance. The Miracle Dancers are students with many types of special needs. The group is the featured highlight on the WHAS Crusade for Children. They have performed on the Morning Show, the Jefferson County Public Schools “Back To School Kickoff”, the NSBC (National Spina Bifida Conference), for Governor Ernie Fletcher’s KY Employee Charitable Campaign, the Miss Wheelchair KY Pageant and recently for the National Conference of Physicians for Spinal Cord Injury Research. Diane Chambers, her staff and the Miracle Dancers were featured in the April 2008 and May 2009 ssue of Dance Teacher Magazine.
